2019 Mission Focus

Our morning and evening services in June will focus on what God is doing globally.

Sunday June 2nd - What is Mission?

Martin Goldsmith is a Jewish Christian, a well-known author, international speaker, teacher and missiologist.

He served for ten years in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Thailand. With his wife Elizabeth he then had twenty-four years on the staff of All Nations Christian College helping train cross-cultural workers. There’s lots more information at martingoldsmith.wordpress.com. Listen out for the topic of the seminar during the morning service! Martin will also be preaching at the evening service. This is part of our 5 week mission series during June.

Bring & share at lunch 12:15 in the Church Centre followed by a seminar and discussion with Martin Goldsmith. All welcome.

Sunday June 9th – TEAR Fund

Charlotte Nobbs will share stirring stories from the relief agency TEAR Fund about how the word of God put into practice around the world can make a radical difference!

Sunday June 16th - Good News from around the world.

Often we read about persecution and hardship faced by God’s people around the world, and that is part of the picture. But God is at work in wonderful ways, and in unexpected places. This week we’ll hear stories of people and situations Graham & Nicola Aylett have come across in their travels.

Sunday June 23rd  - Getting to know our mission partners.

In the services today we'll have to chance to learn more about the Mission Partners we are linked to and support as a church - how they came to be linked with us, their families and what it's like to live and work on the mission field in South America, Africa and the Far East.

Sunday June 30th - Our response: Pray, Give, Go.

For the final week of the Mission Focus we will consider our response to Jesus' command to "Go and make disciples of all nations".
