Sundays

We believe that worship can be an encounter with the living God! It’s a joy and a blessing to come together on a Sunday morning at 10am to offer praise to God and to pray for one another and the wider world. The music is usually contemporary and led by a band but draws on a wide repertoire of songs and hymns. Our bible teaching aims to connect the deep, enduring truths of Scripture with our lives today. We make time for stillness, personal stories and the opportunity to reflect on what we’ve heard and respond personally. There are activities for children and young people where they can explore the morning theme in an interesting and exciting way and be encouraged to grow as disciples of Jesus.

Our Sunday evening service begins at 7p.m. and usually explores a different theme to the morning. The music is also contemporary and led by a band and we usually have longer times of sung worship. We often make time for discussion, sharing and praying for one another and times of response

We share Holy Communion at both morning and evening services but not at every service.

Once a month, usually on the 4th Sunday, we have Hymns of Praise at 3 p m. followed by tea and cakes. The music is usually accompanied by the organ and draws on a more traditional repertoire. For some of our senior members, this service provides the opportunity to share stories and experiences and it’s a place for warm and supportive fellowship.

During the week

On Thursday morning at 11.00am we meet in the Parish Centre for a service of Holy Communion and occasionally for Morning Prayer. It’s a warm and welcoming fellowship and the service is followed by coffee and lunch together. As described above, we place an emphasis on bible teaching that is practical and relevant and we follow the Church of England’s regular reading pattern. For many, this service is an oasis in the middle of the week.
